Upper Canada Playhouse is offering schools another new and interesting way to experience professional live theatre in 2011 by touring their magical production of Charlotte’s Web to area elementary schools April 4-29.

Based on the classic E.B. White children’s book, and performed by a cast of talented professional actors, this exciting, colourful and educational show re-creates the charming story of Wilbur the Pig and his rescue from an uncertain future by a special spider named Charlotte. This captivating story of friendship has held children spellbound for decades and comes to life at your school through the magic of live theatre. JK through Grade 6.

2. Our November/December Christmas production of Dear Santa – Your school comes to The Playhouse in Morrisburg.

Book our exciting touring production of E.B. White’s classic tale into your school this Spring. The magic of live theatre brings to life the special friendship between Wilbur the Pig and Charlotte the Spider right at your school.

 

Booking Info

How the Spring School Tour works… We come to your school an hour before the performance time with the set, costumes, props and sound equipment and set up in your gym or auditorium. The company seats your students when they arrive. The performance is about 50 minutes in length followed by a Question & Answer session. We also provide teachers with a Study Guide of information and lesson plans related to the show.

Performance Times…

Performances can be booked for a morning or afternoon. Suggested audience size 300 or less (but special circumstances can be negotiated).

Leave your contact name and info along with your preferred date and alternate choice. Our tour director will contact you shortly afterwards with confirmation. (Performance dates and times will depend on our touring schedule).

Performance fee: 1 show $550.00

2 shows (at same school) $900.00

If your school is too small to book your own performance, we suggest teaming up with other schools and sharing the cost of bringing our show into 1 central school. NOTE: We also take bookings for our Spring Show for libraries, community groups and other organizations at the listed times or evenings and weekends.
